cleaning & sealing cypress
I have read conflicting information on using water vs oil based products on cypress because of the oil already in the wood. I know that ya"ll recommend Sascho's Transfomation Stain on the logs, what about decking?

Hi, Heather. You can use Transformaiton on open decks. Keep in mind two things, however, first the deck will require extra drying time and the finish will be a bit "tacky" or sticky while it is drying. Second, with your shipment, you likely only received enough stain for the exterior cypress surfaces. We are a dealer for Sashco products and we can sell you any product and have it drop shiped to your home.

thank you very much. I am sure that we will be ordering some soon. we will have quite a bit of light coming in through some of our windows, is there a specific product that you would recommend for the interior walls and the hand peeled tree?

Sashco does make a water-based polyurethane product for interor wood surfaces called Symphony that may help your situation for your interior cypress surfaces and the hand peeled support tree. You should be able to request a free sample directly from www.sashco.com. If you like that product, we can get it on order for you.
